Damien Hirst first in Switzerland

A helicopter flew over the city of St. Moritz in Switzerland carrying the sculpture “The Monk”, placing it for the first time on the frozen lake.
Through this short opening and this image we could describe the spectacular presence of the British artist Damien Hirst.
Mental Escapology is the first public solo exhibition in Switzerland. With over 40 works, his personal exhibition spread over five areas, as shown in the map below.

– Lake: The Monk, 2014, bronze,

– Via Ludains 3: Two Figures with a Drum, 2013, bronze,
5566 x 2380 x 2740 mm (219 1/8 x 93 3/4 x 107 7/8 inches).
– Via Veglia 12: Proteus, 2012, bronze, 2413 x 981 x 655 mm (95 x 38 5/8 x 25 3/4 inches).
– Via Dimlej 6: Temple, 2008, bronze, 6600 x 3300 x 2000 mm (259 7/8 x 129 7/8 x 78 3/4 inches). Edition of 3 plus 1 artist’s proof.
– Plazza Paracelsus 2: Forum Paracelsus, 18th century building at the Baths with never-before-seen paintings, including works from the 1998 Spot (Pharmaceutical) Tests, Reagents, Diagnostics and Random Samples series of paintings.
– Via Veglia 12: Protestant Church in the center of St. Moritz with a selection of works from the butterfly series.

The exhibition features works from some of Hirst’s most famous series, including Natural History, Spot Paintings, Butterfly Color Paintings and Mental Escapology, in addition to the four previously listed sculptures.
