With around 160 works from public and private collections around the world, as well as from the David Hockney Foundation and from the artist himself, the exhibition dedicated to the iconic artist David Hockney highlights the pictorial process through the intimate portraits of five subjects: his friend, Celia Birtwell; his mother, Laura Hockney; her former partner and curator, Gregory Evans; his master printer, Maurice Payne; the artist himself. The solo show features the artist’s work over the past six decades, with the addition of new works, portraying friends and visitors in the Hockney’s Normandy studio.
